Sean Dyche gives updates on Wood, Barnes & more ahead of Bournemouth

Burnley vs Bournemouth

Burnley will play host to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday the 22nd of February.

The Clarets head into the tie in a fine vein of form, having lost just one of their last five Premier League outings.

That decent run has seen Burnley move up to 11th in the league, and if they were to continue that sort of form, there is an outside chance they could be competing for a European spot at the end of the campaign.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, are languishing at the wrong end of the English top-flight.

The Cherries are currently sat 16th in the PL, just two points clear of 19th placed Watford.

Burnley injury update ahead of Bournemouth

Ahead of their clash with Bournemouth, Burnley boss Sean Dyche held his latest pre-match press conference on Thursday.

During the presser, Dyche gave an injury update on a number of Burnley players.

Chris Wood had to be withdrawn inside 22 minutes during Burnley’s last outing vs Southampton.

And when speaking about Wood ahead of Saturday, Dyche confirmed that the forward is rated touch-and-go.

But whilst Wood’s involvement vs Bournemouth appears to still be up in the air, Johann Berg Gudmundsson will be back in the squad to take on Eddie Howe’s men.

However, both Ashley Barnes and Matt Lowton are set to miss out on Saturday.
