Sean Dyche confirms Ben Mee will miss Burnley’s meeting with Fulham

Sean Dyche confirms Ben Mee will miss Burnley’s meeting with Fulham

Burnley vs Fulham

Burnley will return to Premier League action on Wednesday evening.

The Clarets will play host to relegation-battling Fulham, as they aim to put even more daylight between themselves and the bottom three.

Burnley will head into the game sitting eight points clear of the drop zone.

It is Scott Parker’s Fulham, though, who currently occupy 18th spot, meaning a loss for Sean Dyche and co. on Wednesday would see this gap closed to just five points. Alternatively, it could be extended to a hefty 11, and all but guarantee the hosts survival in the English top-flight for another year.

Seeing off Fulham, despite their league position, however, will be easier said than done.

The Cottagers have won just three Premier League games all season, but are frequent drawers, and have fallen to defeat in only one of their last five.

Sean Dyche provides Ben Mee update

Ahead of Wednesday’s game, meanwhile, Sean Dyche held his latest press conference on Monday.

During the presser, the Burnley boss provided an update on Ben Mee.

The stopper was forced off with a nasty-looking head injury last time out vs Crystal Palace:

And though Dyche has, thankfully, revealed that Mee seems ‘fine in himself’, it was subsequently confirmed that the defender is set to miss out versus Fulham:

“Mee is fine in himself, but won’t be playing, we will follow the protocols for that.”
