Sead Kolasinac, Mesut Ozil & carjacking attempt
Ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday, Sead Kolasinac has faced the press.
The Bosnian opened up for the first time about being the victim of a carjacking attempt, alongside Mesut Ozil.
Kolasinac didn’t want to delve into the specifics of the incident, however the Arsenal left-back discussed how the event affected him:
Well, of course I’m happy to be back. Of course, mentally this was hard, missing also training for a couple of days.
I made up for it. I’m back and happy to be back with the team and able to perform with them on the pitch with the team.
About what happened I don’t want to talk about it in details. It’s happened and it’s something that belongs to the past.
The same with Mesut (Ozil). We are back and we focus on our job and team. We have a very important match ahead here in Frankfurt.
How the carjacking attempt led to gang warfare
Back in July, a video revealed that Arsenal’s Ozil and Sead Kolasinac were targeted in an attempted carjacking.
Two men with knives confronted the Arsenal footballers.
Incredibly, Kolasinac managed to single-handedly prevent those men from doing any damage, as the Bosnian defended himself and Ozil.
British police are hunting for two armed men who attempted to rob Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolašinac.

The Times previously reported how the carjacking incident led to gang warfare:
Unknown to the footballers, eastern European gangsters are believed to have warned against any future attacks on the pair. This has led to an escalation of threats by a rival gang.
Why Mest Ozil is out vs Eintracht Frankfurt
Unai Emery confirmed that Ozil won’t be involved on Thursday.
