Schalke are in talks with Tottenham over a potential loan move for English defender Danny Rose who is set to leave the London side.
There has been much talk over the future of Rose who has been linked with a move away from the club for a little bit now.
He criticised the club before last season when he suggested he wanted Tottenham to sign more well-known players.
He claimed the club should sign “not players you have to Google and say, ‘Who’s that?’ I mean well-known players.”
That left Danny Rose in a really awkward position following his return from injury.
While there were suggestions that he could join Manchester United, that move fell through a long time ago and they now have Diogo Dalot.
Now, as he attempts to leave the club, he has seemingly turned to a move abroad.
Leaving the Premier League
That is because it has been revealed by Sky Sports this evening that German giants Schalke are in talks with Tottenham over a loan move.
That could be just what he needs, getting out of the limelight and rediscovering his form abroad before coming back.
While it’s not certain at all that a deal will go through, Sky Sports have confirmed the talks – see the Tweet below.
It is also worth bearing in mind that a deal would not need to be completed before Thursday’s deadline.
That is because the Bundesliga window will still be open until the end of the month and would allow Danny Rose to move later in the month.
Regardless, it looks as though Rose is on his way out of Tottenham.
