Raheem Sterling

Savage Raheem Sterling reacts to Arsenal rumours

Man City v Napoli

Manchester City return to Champions League action in midweek with a home match against Napoli.

Pep Guardiola’s side come into the game off the back of a 7-2 win over Stoke.

Indeed, the Premier League leaders have been scoring goals for fun this season. That’s included six goals v Watford, five goals against Liverpool and Crystal Palace, and four v Feyenoord.

Napoli, meanwhile, are also in amazing form right now. They’ve won their last six in a row. And, aside from losing 2-1 at Shakhtar Donetsk earlier in the Champions League, Napoli have won 12 of their last 13 matches in all competitions.

Raheem Sterling v Arsenal

One of the stars of the season at Man City has been Raheem Sterling.

The England international has been scoring goals for fun this campaign, bagging six Premier League goals in seven appearances.

On Monday, Sterling met the press ahead of the Napoli game, and the forward was asked about links to Arsenal in the summer.

To recap, back in the summer transfer window, Mirror journalist John Cross claimed that City offered a cash plus Raheem Sterling deal in exchange for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez.

Sterling has now reacted to that rumour, and he’s trolled the Gunners in the process.

He intimated the Mirror’s story was fake news, saying he “didn’t believe a word until I heard from boss”.

If that wasn’t strong enough, Sterling added he didn’t think “one minute” about leaving Man City for Arenal in the summer.

Sergio Aguero updates

Will Sergio Aguero be in Man City’s XI for the Napoli game?

After watching the Stoke match on the subs bench, that’s highly possible. But Pep Guardiola is keeping his cards close to his chest.
