Sarri responds to questions about his Chelsea future & Hazard rumours

Sarri on Hazard links

Chelsea are set to take on Dynamo Kyiv on Thursday in the second leg of their Europa League tie.

The Blues have a 3-0 lead heading into Thursday from the reverse fixture.

Maurizio Sarri has also, on Wednesday, held his pre-match press conference for Dynamo.

Sarri was asked a number of interesting questions, one of which pertained to Eden Hazard and Real Madrid.

After Zinedine Zidane was appointed Real Madrid boss earlier this week, rumours that Hazard will now move to the Bernabeu have been running wild.

On these links, Sarri had this to say:

“You have to ask to Hazard, I think. I don’t know at the moment. I didn’t speak with Eden about Zidane. I am not worried because you know my opinion. I want only in my team players who want to play for Chelsea, so I can’t be worried”

Maurizio Sarri on his Chelsea future

Sarri was also questioned about his future at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea had a bit of a rough patch under the Italian which saw them drop out of the top four, lose in the FA Cup and suffer humiliating 4-0 and 6-0 defeats vs Bournemouth and Manchester City.

As a result, Sarri’s long-term future at Chelsea was called into question.

After drawing with newly-promoted Wolves this past weekend, the Chelsea boss was once again asked about his longevity in London:

“I don’t know, I don’t mind. For me, it is important tomorrow in the Europa League and in Liverpool against Everton. Next season is too far, I am focused on these two matches. Then we have the international break.”
