‘Sarri out’: Calls for Sarri to be sacked after embarrassing first-half vs Man City

Manchester City vs Chelsea

Chelsea travelled to Man City on Sunday as they looked to move back into the top four.

Manchester United beat Fulham on Saturday, meaning they moved above Chelsea and into a Champions League spot.

So, Maurizio Sarri’s side needed to beat City to stay 4th.

Chelsea have not been in the best form of late, losing two of their last five league games.

However, the Blues will have had some confidence coming into the game as they have already beaten Chelsea this season.

As for City, they needed to win to keep the pressure on Liverpool who beat Bournemouth 3-0 on Saturday.

Chelsea’s embarrassing first half

The first 45 at the Etihad was very much Manchester City’s with Chelsea looking extremely poor.

Raheem Sterling put City 1-0 up inside four minutes.

Sergio Aguero would then miss a huge sitter before scoring a wonder goal in the 13th minute.

Aguero then got his second of the game in the 19th minute before Ilkay Gundogan made it 4-0 six minutes later.

Twitter reaction

After such a poor first-half, Chelsea fans have been calling for Sarri to be sacked.
