Nice guy Khedira
Sami Khedira is one of football’s genuine nice guys. The Juventus midfielder decided to give something back to fans during this international break. While on Germany duty, he saw an opportunity to do good.
Khedira bought 1,200 tickets for Germany’s World Cup Qualifier against Norway and gave them to disadvantaged children. With the game being held in his home town of Stuttgart, Khedira is showing he hasn’t forgotten where his roots. He has a bit of history when it comes to acts of kindness in Stuttgart.
He held a charity match in the area two years ago. This time around tickets will be distributed through 15 charities for socially vulnerable children as well as children who are battling cancer.
Wanting to give something back
He told the Germany Football Association’s official website: “We wanted to do something good for the region two years after the charity game, and the Germany match on Monday in Stuttgart is the ideal setting. With the organisational support of my family, we are enabling young people to attend the game who would not be able to otherwise.”
