Kalidou Koulibaly 1st, Sadio Mane 2nd
It was a wonderful 2018 for Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.
He reached the Champions League final with the Reds, while he’s now on course to win the Premier League title.
However the Liverpool star has only come second in the voting for Senegal’s best player of the calendar year.
Mane scooped up 26% of the vote, however he fell way behind Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
Koulibaly won the vote with 41%, while Bordeaux full-back Youssouf Sabaly came third with 12%.

Will Kalidou Koulibaly join Man United?
Expect to read a lot more about Kalidou Koulibaly in the January transfer window.
For a while now, Manchester United have been linked with a possible move for the Napoli centre-half.
Would Koulibaly be keen on a move?
The African star was recently subjected to awful racist abuse in a match against Inter Milan.
Whether that will push Koulibaly to leave Naples remains an open question.
In the Guardian on January 1, the prospect of Koulibaly moving the Man United is considered:
Napoli have told United the Senegalese will cost €120m (£107m) which, given neither we nor probably they know the identity of their next permanent manager, a deal of that magnitude may only be concluded in the summer.
