Big boost for Liverpool
Liverpool’s Sadio Mane and James Milner are both in contention to face Norwich City this weekend, following recent injuries.
Mane has been pivotal for the Reds so far this season.
The winger has scored 15 goals and assisted 11 across all competitions in the current campaign.
However, he’s missed the last two Premier League games due to injury.
Meanwhile, James Milner has also been out injured.
The Englishman has missed Liverpool’s last five Premier League games.
Thankfully for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, though, he could have both of them available for the clash with Norwich this weekend.
Mane and Milner back in contention
Speaking ahead of the Norwich clash, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that both Mane and Milner are in contention this weekend.
“Of course they are in contention, it’s clear,” Klopp explained, as quoted by LiverpoolFC.com.
“When Millie and Sadio are back, you start thinking immediately. That’s how it is.
“It’s good news. They both trained from Monday – and they both trained through the last week anyway – so they are in contention.”
Klopp also provided an injury update on the rest of his squad.
The German confirmed that all of Xherdan Shaqiri, Nathaniel Clyne and Robert Glatzel are still out, but the rest of the squad are training as normal.
“It looks like – and I hope it stays like this – apart from Shaqiri, Clyne and Glatzel, all players are in training,” Klopp continued.
“We have some good options and hopefully it stays like this, that would be really great for the decisive part of the season now.”
