Manchester United Ryan Giggs

Ryan Giggs’ reaction after Martin O’Neill handshake goes viral

What was Giggs thinking so intently about?

Ryan Giggs’ Wales beat the Republic of Ireland 4-1 last night but one of the biggest talking points was Giggs’ handshake with Martin O’Neill after the game.

The former Manchester United man has started life as Wales boss on the right foot.

His side have only lost 2 of their last 9 games and their win over the Republic of Ireland last night was emphatic.

Wales won the game 4-1 with Gareth Bale impressing again, scoring a nice goal.

Chelsea youngster Ethan Ampadu also impressed in the game, winning Man of the match.

At only 17-years-old, that is not something to take lightly.

Despite all that, there was one big talking point after that and it came after Ryan Giggs’ shook hands with Republic of Ireland boss Martin O’Neil.

Twitter blows up with Giggs memes

That is because following their handshake, Giggs looks around bemused, as though O’Neil had said something that really confused him.

He continued to look around and stare into space with deep thoughts running through his mind!

That lead to questions as to exactly what was said or why Giggs was so confused.

Some have given Giggs the meme treatment, suggesting hilarious reasons for why he was confused.

Others suggested a much more logical reason for Ryan Giggs’ confusion.

Some suggested that he was actually looking for former teammate Roy Keane after the game.

Though, the Republic of Ireland assistant boss was nowhere to be seen and some suggested that Giggs was waiting to see if he would appear.

While that doesn’t exactly explain his bemused facial expression, it’s the only possible answer we have right now!

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey explains Wales goal celebration

Another talking point after the game was Aaron Ramsey’s goal celebration.

The Welshman put the ball under his shirt following his impressive finish.

Now, he’s revealed why.
