Kevin De Bruyne dropped vs Arsenal
According to beIN Sports, Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne is set to be dropped against Arsenal on Sunday.
Bernando Silva is expected to start instead of the Belgian in the Man City XI.
Why is De Bruyne being axed by Pep Guardiola?
BeIN Sports claim that KDB is being benched after a poor performance in the 2-1 defeat at Newcastle United.
De Bruyne gave the ball away on multiple occasions at St James’ Park. Guardiola subbed the Belgian out of the game in the second half.

Kevin De Bruyne’s stop & start season
De Bruyne has only completed 90 minutes once since returning from injury.
That was in the 3-0 City win against Huddersfield Town.
It’s been a difficult season for the midfielder as he’s been constantly hampered by knee problems.
De Bruyne has been sidelined on two separate occasions since the start of the season.
The Belgian has only contributed one goal and one assist in the league this season.
Kevin De Bruyne on his injuries
The Mirror on Sunday circulated fresh quotes from KDB on his fitness:
I am doing well. I am happy to be fit. It’s been a long six months for me, but I’m happy that now I can play football.
Sometimes I feel good, sometimes I feel a little bit worse or I need a day more to recover. But I try every day to be at the best level I can be, and sometimes people have to give me a little bit of slack after the amount of time I have been away.
I always want to be better. But sometimes my body just says ‘no’ and I have to take that in my stride. I don’t feel anything in my knee now, but we play so many games sometimes I feel better and sometimes a little bit less. You just feel that in the game and it’s normal.
