Keane launches Paul Pogba attack
Roy Keane launched a scathing attack on Paul Pogba on Sky Sports during the build-up to the Manchester derby on Wednesday evening.
Paul Pogba, as well as several Manchester United stars, have been criticised this week.
Man United’s last outing saw them torn apart by Marco Silva’s Everton, losing 4-0.
Goals from Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott compounded Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s woes following their Champions League exit to Barcelona.
One player who didn’t have a great game last weekend was Paul Pogba.
Despite the Frenchman’s impressive form when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer arrived, Pogba has been off the boil for a couple of weeks.
Now, following his pre-match interview, Roy Keane has launched a scathing attack on the Manchester United man.
“I wouldn’t believe a word he says”
Speaking in the pre-game studio, Keane certainly didn’t hold back on his opinions of Pogba.
Keane flat-out called Pogba dishonest, claiming that he ‘wouldn’t believe a word he says’ and that ‘he’s a big problem for United.
“I wouldn’t believe a word he says. There’s no meaning behind it,” he explained, as quoted by the Mirror.
“He’s on about being a team-mate, if you’re going to be a good teammate you’ve got to run back when you’re defending.
“The guy is a talented boy, but we’re saying the same thing over and over again. The number of times we’ve seen him in games where he is not sprinting or running back.
He mentioned body language and pride, but I don’t see it in his performances.
“He’s talking about body language – but throws his hands up in the air. He’s a big problem for United.”
