Roy Keane brands Tottenham duo ‘Dumb and Dumber’ after Liverpool defeat

Tottenham lose at Anfield

Tottenham traveled to Liverpool on Sunday, as they looked to put an end to their poor league away form.

Spurs are yet to win away in the league this season. And you actually have to go all the way back to January of 2019 for the last time the north London outfit picked up a league victory away from home.

That embarrassing streak looked as though it may be coming to an end on Sunday, though. Harry Kane gave Spurs the lead inside a minute at Anfield.

However, Spurs would sit back for much of the game, inviting too much pressure from the Champions League holders.

Jurgen Klopp’s men had a few solid chances to level things up in the first 45.

But Liverpool would have to wait until after the interval to draw level, via Jordan Henderson in the 52nd minute.

A Mohamed Salah penalty then gave Liverpool a 2-1 lead, and allowed them to emerge from the tie with all three points.

Keane rips into Rose & Aurier

Former Manchester United man Roy Keane was once again a pundit for Sky Sports for the Liverpool vs Tottenham clash.

Keane was as entertaining as ever, and did not hold back when speaking about Tottenham’s full-backs on the day, Danny Rose and Serge Aurier.

Keane would label the duo ‘Dumb and Dumber’. Keane was also quick to praise Liverpool’s full-backs for their attacking play:

“The two Tottenham full-backs were dreadful. Dumb and Dumber, I’d call them. I thought they were really poor. You can’t compare them to Liverpool, the two lads who are absolutely fantastic.

“Particularly going forward, okay defensively there’s parts of the games they can improve on, but going forward they’re absolutely fantastic.” As quoted by Sky Sports News.
