Roy Hodgson trolls Aaron Wan-Bissaka after Fulham

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodsgon last night made lighthearted fun of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, following another superb showing from the stopper versus Fulham.

Hodgson’s men welcomed the Cottagers to Selhurst Park yesterday afternoon, for a Premier League clash.

Palace headed into proceedings hoping to keep their recent upturn in form alive, with the Eagles having managed to move 4 points clear of the Premier League’s relegation zone.

And build on their improved form was exactly what the capital outfit managed yesterday, eventually emerging with a 2-0 victory.

Luka Milivojević put Palace in front from the penalty spot with 25 minutes on the clock, before Jeffrey Schlupp doubled the home side’s advantage 3 minutes from time, after getting on the end of an assist from debutant Michy Batshuayi.

‘Starting to think he might be a robot’

In the aftermath of the Eagles’ latest positive showing, a number of players were singled out for praise, with the likes of Christian Benteke and Mamadou Sakho having impressed.

However, as is so often the case, Aaron Wan-Bissaka was the choice of many as the standout performer at Selhurst Park, with Palace boss Roy Hodgson having been questioned on the latest performance of his side’s gifted full-back during a post-match interview.

And, unsurprisingly, Hodgson was keen to sing the praises of the 21-year-old, explaining:

Hodgson, though, then chose to have some lighthearted fun at Wan-Bissaka’s expense, pointing to a mistake made by the stopper deep into injury-time as proof that he is not actually, as his consistencies often suggest, a robot:
