Liverpool 4 Crystal Palace 3
Liverpool hosted Crystal Palace on Saturday as they looked to extend their lead at the top of the table to seven points.
However, beating Palace would be no easy task with the Eagles the last side to beat Liverpool at Anfield back in 2018.
Things got off to a similarly bad start for the Reds on Saturday. Andros Townsend put Palace 1-0 up in the 34th minute.
Liverpool would draw level one minute into the second half through Mohamed Salah before Firmino made it 2-1 in the 53rd minute.
Crystal Palace would then equalise in the 65th minute via James Tomkins.
Jurgen Klopp’s side would, however, once again take the lead in the 75th minute with Salah bagging his second.
Sadio Mane then made it 4-2 in the 93rd minute before Max Meyer got a consolation goal in the 95th minute.

Speroni’s mistake vs Liverpool
After the game, one of the biggest talking points was Julian Speroni’s mistake which led to Salah making it 3-2 and putting the game beyond Palace.
Speroni has played over 400 games for the Eagles but he had not featured at all this season.
But with both Wayne Hennessey and Vicente Guaita out injured, Speroni was thrown into the spotlight on Saturday.
Speroni had a decent game although he would fail to deal with a cross, allowing Mo Salah to run in and tap it home for Liverpool’s 3rd of the game.
Despite this, Roy Hodgson has come out and shown his support for the veteran keeper:
“There aren’t many better club servants than Julian Speroni at any football club in the world.
“For him to make that kind of mistake was really unfortunate and put Liverpool undeservedly back in the lead.
“We’ve got to consider ourselves hard done by in that respect.” As quoted by the Evening Standard.
