Leicester 2 – Man United 2
Did Leicester end Man United’s residual hopes of winning the Premier League on Saturday?
Heading into Christmas Man City appear to have an unassailable lead in the English top flight.
After going on a historic 17-game winning run, City have opened up a 13 point lead on United.
Jose Mourinho’s side dropped two more points against Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
Harry Maguire’s 94th minute leveller was a gut-wrenching moment for Man United.
Romelu Lukaku vs Ander Herrera
The truth is that Man United should have beaten the Foxes.
Mourinho’s men created more than enough chances to kill off Leicester on their own ground.
Romelu Lukaku was indeed one of United’s top creators on Saturday. On another day Lukaku would have notched two assists, but Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard botched superb chances to find the net.
With two minutes remaining in the game, Lukaku lost it with Ander Herrera.
The Belgian striker lost it with his Spanish team mate after Herrera stopped a forward run in the dying stages of the game.
Furious with a perceived lack of effort from Herrera, Lukaku screamed at the midfielder. Herrera screamed back too.
Gary Neville on Herrera’s mistake
Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville also highlight Herrera for criticism after the game.
Neville revealed that Herrera refused to play at right-back in the final stages against the Foxes. Not only that, Neville said Herrera ordered Henrikh Mkhitaryan to fill in in that position.
Interesting that Jones asked Herrera to fill in at right-back and he refused. Why?? That caused confusion in the final minutes. Herrera also had word with Lukaku near the end. Some clearly frustrated characters in this squad at present. #MUFC

Of course, United needed extra cover at the back as Chris Smalling was playing with an obvious groin problem.
