RVP return

Holland legend Robin van Persie is in line for a huge return to his former club.

The Fenerbache striker became a superstar in the Premier League during stints with Arsenal and Manchester United. He moved to Arsenal in 2004 after earning a reputation for himself with boyhood club Feyenoord.

Now he’s set to return to the Eredivisie giants, managed by his old international teammate Giovanni van Bronckhorst. A former Arsenal player himself, van Bronckhorst guided Feyenoord to the title last season.

Strengthening their squad

Playing in the Champions League next season, they’re looking to strengthen their squad, especially after Dirk Kuyt’s retirement. Kuyt had a dream final season with Feyenoord, being a key player in their championship triumph.

Van Persie, three years Kuyt’s junior at 33, is hoping to have similar success with his old club.

He’s scored 36 goals in 82 appearances for Fenerbahce since leaving Man United in 2015.
