Robin Koch sends message to Leeds fans after Man United defeat

Leeds United star Robin Koch has taken to social media on Monday, to send a message of gratitude to the club's supporters.

Koch's outreach of course comes on the back of his short-lived appearance in Leeds' Premier League showdown with Manchester United a little over 24 hours ago.

The German, unfortunately, lasted just 30 minutes of the clash, before being forced to stutter out of proceedings with the help of the Whites' medical team after picking up a head injury.

Koch, in turn, was flooded with messages of well-wishes in the game's aftermath, amid concerns over his wellbeing.

And, as alluded to above, the 25-year-old has since taken to his personal Twitter account, to not only thank all of those who sent positive energy his way, but also assure that he is feeling 'much better' on Monday, ahead of a return to the pitch 'soon':

Comeback efforts fall short

Koch being forced to limp out of the action at Elland Road on Sunday of course marked just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the woes suffered by Leeds at the hands of Manchester United.

After slipping two goals down on the stroke of the interval, Marcelo Bielsa's troops, to their credit, did emerge all guns blazing for the 2nd-half, levelling things up courtesy of a quick-fire pair of strikes on the part of Rodrigo and Raphinha.

The hosts' resurgence, though, proved short-lived, as Fred's near post strike twenty minutes from time was followed by Anthony Elanga slotting beyond Illan Meslier late on, to ensure that Ralf Rangnick's Red Devils brought all three points back to Manchester.

Leeds, in turn, remain just five points clear of the relegation zone, ahead of a trip to title-chasing Liverpool on Wednesday night.
