Anthony Martial

Revealed: How much Tottenham need to pay for Anthony Martial

45 million euros is the price tag French Football believe that it will cost for potential suitors to sign Manchester United winger Anthony Martial this summer, with 72 percent of their readers also claiming he is worth 45 million euros or less.

Yesterday, RMC Sport wrote that the 22-year-old had rejected Manchester United’s latest contract offer with the player unhappy with his playing time under manager Jose Mourinho this season.

Currently being used as a rotational option, Martial is unhappy with his role at Old Trafford with Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus all being closely linked with a move for the Frenchman.

This season Martial has produced an impressive 11 goals and 10 assists in 40 appearances in all competitions this season, however, following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in January he has seen his game time reduced.

Having signed him for 50 million euros plus substantial bonuses, the Red Devils would be taking a significant hit on the figure they paid Monaco back in 2015 should they sell him for France Football’s valuation.

The French source claim to have reached the 45 million euro figure based on the player’s game time, the player’s form this season and his current contract situation.

With just one-year remaining on his contract and yesterday’s news that Martial has rejected United’s latest offer, the former Lyon and Monaco winger looks destined to leave Manchester this summer.

Tony to Tottenham?

It is understood that Manchester United would be unwilling to do business with Spurs, who refused to let them enter talks over deals for both Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose.

However, with Mauricio Pochettino a big fan of Martial and keen to offload both Alderweireld and Rose, chairman Daniel Levy may be willing to offer United the chance to sign either player in exchange for their winger.
