A softer way from Mourinho
Luke Shaw has been brilliant for Manchester United this season.
The left back has shone, after serious questions over his future in the summer.

Now, it seems that a softer approach from Jose Mourinho is the reason behind that.
Standard Sport note Mourinho took a kinder approach this summer – and it’s paid off.
James Robson, of Standard Sport, wrote:
“Mourinho rang Luke Shaw up when he was off in Dubai on holiday, he was actually in a training camp, trying to get fit for this season.
“Mourinho rang him and said: ‘I know what you can do, you can be the best left back in the world, and we’re going to do that this season.’
“That wasn’t tough love- that was an arm around his shoulder and that really had an impact on Shaw.”
Injury for England
Shaw did pick up a serious head injury while playing for England during the game against Spain.
There was a huge amount of concern for his welfare initially, yet the player soon reassured people he was recovering.
It will be the end of his time with England for now, with the left back set to return to Man United.
Thank you for all the love and support I am doing fine and am in the best hands. I’m a fighter so I will be back soon!

There are now of course doubts over his chances of playing in the next United game.
If Mourinho is without the defender who has been his best player this season, it will be another blow for the United boss.
