Revealed: The fixtures Tottenham’s Covid-positive pair are expected to miss

An insight into the fixtures which the two Tottenham Hotspur stars to have returned positive tests for Covid-19 are now expected to sit out has been forthcoming on Friday night.

Spurs curse their luck

The headline news on the Lilywhite half of North London this evening of course came in the form of an update on the wellbeing of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

On the back of the international break’s close, Spurs are set to return to Premier League action this weekend, in a meeting with newly-minted Newcastle United.

The capital giants will head into the clash aiming to make it three wins from three across all competitions, having brought a dismal spell of September form to an end courtesy of back-to-back downings of NS Mura and Aston Villa.

With less than 48 hours to go ahead of the St. James’ Park showdown, though, Tottenham, a short time ago, were dealt an altogether considerable blow.

This came in the form of confirmation that two members of Nuno’s first-team squad have tested positive for Covid-19:

West Ham absentees

The players in question, who have hitherto remained unnamed, will now, of course, sit out Spurs’ trip to Tyneside on Sunday.

Which further fixtures, though, are the duo likely to be forced to miss?

Well, as outlined above, an insight into precisely that has tonight been provided.

As per a report from Sky Sports News, at a minimum, the two members of Nuno’s setup in North London will be unavailable for selection versus all of Newcastle (Premier League), Vitesse Arnhem (Europa Conference League) and West Ham United (PL).
