Ralf Rangnick expected to become Manchester United boss

Following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal, Manchester United appear to have wasted little time in appointing an interim boss.

News broke on Thursday that the Red Devils have reached an agreement with Ralf Rangnick to become their manager for the remainder of the season, before then moving into a two-year consultancy role:

Rangnick is unlikely to be too well known by casual fans of the Premier League. But the German is a very demanding manager who is expected to be much, much more tactically focused than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

He is also lauded for his pressing game, an aspect which Man United have not exactly been synonymous with in recent years.

When will Rangnick’s first game in charge of Man United be?

So, when can Man United’s fans expect to see Rangnick in the dugout?

Well, as per Sport 1’s Patrick Berger, the 63-year-old is primed to sign his United contract at the beginning of next week.

He is then expected to be in charge of his first United fixture versus Arsenal on Thursday the 2nd of December:

The German gonna sign his contracts at the beginning of the new week (probably on Monday). He will be in charge first time for #MUFC versus Arsenal.
