Revealed: Manchester United’s demands to let Anthony Martial leave on loan

Anthony Martial celebrates Man United winner at Burnley

Anthony Martial is widely expected to leave Manchester United on loan this January, and now the demands being made by the Red Devils to allow him to do so have been revealed.

The French forward is thought to be keen on a move away from the club in order to increase his game time, having played just 210 minutes in the Premier League so far this campaign.

It was thought that Martial may depart to Spanish side Sevilla earlier in the transfer window, only for the Red Devils to knock back their offer to take the Frenchman on a temporary basis.

And now, it seems as though it could be Juventus that make the next move, with the Italian giants looking to bolster their own forward line following an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury ruled Federico Chiesa out for the remainder of the season.

And now, David Ornstein reveals that Martial is free to depart, provided he nets his parent club a loan fee of around 5 million euros, a sizeable amount for a six-month loan that may put many suitors off.

Martial’s longer-term future

Now 26 years old, Martial should be entering the prime of his footballing career.

However, 5 Premier League games across the last season and a half suggests that he is lacking the confidence of his manager in front of goal.

With 17 goals in the 19/20 season, Martial has proven that he knows where the back of the net is, and with Edinson Cavani leaving this summer and Cristiano Ronaldo now 37, there is a spot up front to be claimed.

But, it may be best for all parties for him to begin again with a clean slate.
