Revealed: Here’s who the dirtiest teams in the Premier League are

Chelsea and Manchester United are the dirtiest teams in the Premier League this season according to a chart that lists the amount of fouls each team give away.

Jose Mourinho’s men are sitting top of the table in the Premier League, along with Manchester City – who fall far down the list in terms of their fouls.

Chelsea are the defending Champions and have seen an indifferent start to the campaign – and a bunch of red cards to boot, so it’s little shock they lead the way in terms of free kicks and set plays conceded.

Here’s the full list, found in the Mirror.

Red cards

Chelsea have seen a huge amount of red cards already this season compared to last term, but manager Antonio Conte thinks that is down to luck and nothing else.

He was full of excuses after David Luiz’s red card against Arsenal, and said:

I don’t know. Do you think we are becoming bad? For sure, it’s strange, no? A strange situation. Look, I was a player and I think this can happen, this type of period, if you are not so lucky and receive red cards. But we have to try to improve in all situations.

“We work to improve tactical and physical situations. In the end, we’ll try to pay more attention in the future. I hope, also, to be more lucky with the refereeing decisions. For us, and also for the opponents. Sometimes the opponents deserve a red card but, instead, they carry on playing with 11 men. So you also have to be more lucky in the future.
