Arsenal to move for Arda Turan?
A host of Spanish newspapers, including Sport and AS, have been linking Arda Turan with a move away from Barcelona in recent days.
Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Fenerbahce have all been linked to the 29-year-old Turkish international and Marca today claim that Barcelona have put him up for sale.
Signed for €40m last summer, Arda Turan has made just nine La Liga starts since his big money move and closed his woeful 2015/16 campaign with some below-par displays for Turkey at Euro 2016.
Spanish newspaper Marca believe Barcelona would be happy to sell the former Galatasaray and Atletico Madrid midfielder for €26.5m (£22.6m).
Arsenal considered Plan B by Arda
Arsenal fans weren’t best pleased in March when Arda Turan described Arsenal as a Plan B in case his move to the Camp Nou never materialised.
After a rather unsuccessful spell following his dream move to Barcelona, perhaps it is time for the La Liga star to consider joining a second tier top club.
A front four of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Arda Turan and um… Olivier Giroud would have Premier League defences quaking in their boots.
