Zidane’s return to Madrid
After leaving Real Madrid last summer, Zinedine Zidane has once again returned to Los Blancos.
Zidane began his second reign in Madrid with a 2-0 win over Celta Vigo.
However, with Real out of the Champions League, Copa del Rey and 12 points behind Barcelona in La Liga, the 2018/19 season is now somewhat of a write-off for Madrid.
As a result, Madrid already appear to be planning ahead for next season.
The Spanish giants have agreed to sign FC Porto defender Éder Militão this summer.
Madrid have also been linked with a number of high profile stars.
Mbappe Real Madrid’s main target
While all of the aforementioned names would no doubt make excellent additions to Zidane’s squad, Real seemingly have their eyes on a much bigger prize.
According to francefootball, Real Madrid have made PSG youngster Kylian Mbappe their number one target this summer.
Madrid are said to be preparing a bid in the region of €280m.
At just 20 years of age, Mbappe has already won Ligue 1 and the World Cup with France.
The forward has also bagged 52 goals and assisted 30 in 70 games for PSG.

However, once again this year, PSG showed they are unable to compete in the Champions League at the highest level, crashing out to Man United after blowing a 2-0 lead.
Therefore, Mbappe may be inclined to leave Paris in the summer for Zidane’s Madrid in order to win the UCL.
Zidane won the competition three years in a row during his first stint as Madrid boss.
