Odegaard “likely to be sold”

Despite suggestions to the contrary earlier in the summer, it seems as though Martin Odegaard’s time at Real Madrid is coming to an end once again, with sources suggesting that the Norwegian midfielder is likely to be sold this window.

Arsenal, of course, took Odegaard on loan for the second half of last campaign, and are known to hold a strong interest in bringing the 22 year old back to the Emirates this season, either on loan or on a permanent basis. It is unclear the price that Los Blancos would demand from any interested party, but it could well be that the time has been called on Odegaard’s Madrid career,

Hazard “in best physical shape since he came to Madrid”

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard has been linked with a return to Chelsea this summer, but has seemingly got his sights set on returning to top form with Real Madrid.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, the Belgian has returned to training “in the best physical shape since he came to Madrid”, handing a boost to new manager Carlo Ancelotti in the process.

Los Blancos interested in Fofana

After Wesley Fofana’s breakthrough campaign at Leicester City, the French centre back has allegedly caught the attention of Real Madrid. The Foxes value their young talent at 80 million euros, twice what they paid Saint Etienne just last summer, as per French outlet GFFN.

However, any deal for the centre back would be unlikely to be forthcoming this window. Despite losing Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos to Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain respectively, reports suggest that they will not be dipping into the market to reinforce the heart of their defence.

As a result, any deal for Fofana may have to wait 12 months.
