Real Madrid to make fresh Eden Hazard bid after Europa League final – Telegraph

Chelsea vs Arsenal

Chelsea will take on Arsenal in an all-English 2019 Europa League final on May 29th.

Winning the Europa League could be very important for Maurizio Sarri, who’s future still appears to be up in the air.

However, Arsenal will likely be the side who want to win the trophy more.

This is because Europa League glory is the Gunners’ only route into next season’s Champions League, while Chelsea have already secured their spot in next year’s competition by finishing 3rd in the Premier League.

Madrid not giving up on Hazard

While Chelsea fans may be looking forward to the final in Baku, they may not be too keen on what happens after.

This is because, according to the Telegraph, Real Madrid will come back in with a fresh bid for Eden Hazard after said final.

The Belgian has had a hugely impressive 2018/19 campaign.

In 37 league outings, he found the back of the next 16 times, and managed 15 assists.

Hazard would also clean up at Chelsea’s end of season awards, earning Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Goal of the Season.

After his superb season, it is no surprise that Chelsea are reportedly holding firm on their £130 million valuation of Hazard.

However, as per the report from the Telegraph, Real Madrid remain confident that they will land their man.
