Real Madrid ‘start talks’ with Arsenal’s best player

Real Madrid & Arsenal

It was a bad weekend for Real Madrid.

It was a brilliant weekend for Arsenal.

Los Blancos dropped two more important points in the La Liga title race as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona are 10 points clear of Real Madrid in the Spanish top flight.

As for Arsenal, they secured local bragging rights beating Tottenham 2-0 in the north London derby.

Arsenal are now one point behind Spurs in the table after 12 rounds of the season.

Target Alexis Sanchez

Real Madrid have been struggling to score goals in La Liga this season.

Cristiano Ronaldo has only scored once, while Marco Ascensio is the top scorer in the league with four goals.

Could Real Madrid sign former Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez to boost their attack?

That’s the claim made by Spanish news outlet Soy Madridista on Monday, who announced that Los Blancos have “started talks” with Sanchez’s agent over . a possible move in January.

Alexis, of course, is out of contract in the summer. If Arsenal hope to secure a transfer fee for the Chilean, they’ll need to sell him in the next transfer window.

Soy Madridista claim Real could sign Arsenal’s best player for around 20 million euros.

It’s also claimed Man City and PSG are lurking in the shadows trying to sign Sanchez as well.

Arsenal & Sven Mislintat

On Sunday, reports out of Germany claimed that Arsenal are on the verge of signing Sven Mislintat.

Mislintat is the chief scout at Borussia Dortmund and he looks set to replace Steve Rowley.

Bayern Munich have also tried to land Mislintat previously, but Dortmund rebuffed that approach as the scout is under contract until 2021.

According to Sport Bild, Arsenal will pay Borussia Dortmund two million euros to get Mislintat out of his contract.

The urgency in getting the deal done will no doubt excite Arsenal fans. It suggests that Arsenal could be preparing for another major assault on the transfer market.
