Real Madrid & Ajax’s Donny van de Beek
Dutch daily De Telegraaf have confirmed on Thursday that Real Madrid have made contact with Ajax to discuss a potential transfer deal for Donny van de Beek.
22-year-old van de Beek is under contract at Ajax until 2022.
Earlier in the summer, Talksport spoke to Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan.
Back then, the Telegraaf reporter revealed that van de Beek is looking to sign for either Man United or Tottenham this summer.
The journalist said: “Van de Beek wants a move to Man United or Spurs.”
But would a move to Real Madrid interest the Dutch international instead?

Marc Overmars reveals Donny van de Beek’s price tag
Returning to today’s article in De Telegraaf, it’s reported that Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars is in talks with Real Madrid.
Overmars has let it be known that Ajax would consider selling van de Beek for between 50 and 60 million euros.
De Telegraaf indicate that Real Madrid would be willing to meet that price tag.

Ajax & Donny van de Beek
Donny van de Beek played a central role for Ajax in 2018-19.
Van de Beek made 34 appearances in the league, scoring nine times and chipping in with ten assists.
He also scored four goals in 18 Champions League matches, plus four goals in five Dutch Cup games.
Memorably, van de Beek scored for Ajax against Tottenham in their Champions League semi-final first-leg.

Impact on Man United’s Paul Pogba
If Real Madrid sign van de Beek, that could be bad news for Paul Pogba’s hopes of leaving Man United.
Earlier in the week, Spanish newspaper Marca suggested that Real could turn to van de Beek if attempts to sign Pogba proved too difficult:
While working on the transfer of Paul Pogba from Manchester United, Real Madrid will stay attentive to the situation surrounding Donny van de Beek at Ajax, with the 22-year-old still on their radar as a ‘Plan B’.
Does today’s report in De Telegraaf reveal that Madrid may have already given up hope of signing Pogba?
And if Pogba’s possible transfer to Madrid disappears, will the midfielder end up staying at Man United?
