Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard has two loan options
As per a report from Spanish outlet Marca, a pair of clubs are vying for the loan signature of Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard.
Real prodigy
Odegaard, a 20-year-old Norwegian midfielder/attacker, has been on Real’s books since January of 2015.
After emerging as one of European football’s hottest properties in his home country with Stromsgodset over the course of the season prior, Los Blancos beat off all competition to secure the starlet’s signature for a fee of around 4 million Euro.
Incredibly, despite having made the move to the Bernabeu at the tender age of 16, Odegaard had already represented Norway at senior level, having become the youngest player in history to do so in August of 2014.
The years since, though, have subsequently seen the starlet fail to make any sort of impact in the Spanish capital.
This has resulted in a number of loan spells away from Real over the last couple of seasons.
And it was the latest of these stints, in the Eredivisie with Vitesse, that saw Odegaard finally begin to turn his unquestionable potential into consistent brilliance on the pitch.

Across 39 appearances in all competitions this past season, the Norwegian racked up 11 goals and 12 assists.
Odegaard also showcased his impressive versatility, lining out most consistently as a right winger, but also in a playmaker role and in the middle of the park.
The 18-time capped international’s stellar form in the Netherlands certainly didn’t go unnoticed, with Odegaard having been the only player from outside of the Ajax and PSV squads to earn a place in the Eredivisie Team of the Season:

Leverkusen vs Sociedad
Vitesse have since unsurprisingly been unable to hold onto Odegaard, with the 20-year-old set for a return to Real Madrid this summer.
As per the aforementioned report from Marca, though, another temporary spell away from the Bernabeu looks imminent.
And the two clubs vying for Odegaard’s signature for next season are Bayer Leverkusen and Real Sociedad.
The starlet himself is said to favour a move to the latter, following a meeting with representatives from the Basque outfit last Friday.
Real Madrid, though, would prefer for Odegaard to join Leverkusen.
This is owing to the fact that the Bundesliga giants, unlike Sociedad, will be plying their trade in the Champions League next season.
