Bring him back
James Rodriguez could be in line for a sensational return to Real Madrid, with the club seriously giving thought about cutting his loan spell with Bayern Munich short following the sacking of Ancelotti, who James was of course close to.
The catch is the fact that Zidane does not want the player – and James does not want to play for Zidane, despite being unhappy at Bayern Munich – so it will take Zidane losing his job at the Bernabeu for the return to happen, with Florentino Perez only initially willing to sanction a loan deal anyway because he didn’t want to sell James permanently.
James is a popular figure at Real Madrid, both with the fans and the players, and Don Balon claim he could well make the comeback if things carry on going south for Real Madrid, with Zidane under increasing pressure at the club after falling behind in La Liga and the top of their Champions League group being undecided to boot.
One player who could be on their way out of the club is Gareth Bale, with the former Tottenham Hotspur player having one injury too many and testing the patience of the board and manager beyond repair.
It’s also thought the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo wouldn’t be too sorry to see the back of Bale and a return to England may well be on the cards, with Manchester United and former club Spurs all keen on landing Bale.
That could also allow James to return to the club with much more chance of pinning down a starting place as well.
