Real Madrid miss Ronaldo

In what was somewhat of a shock move, Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid over the summer for Serie A side, Juventus.

Madrid would get £100m for Ronaldo’s services, but despite the huge income, Madrid have yet to really replace Ronaldo.

The Portuguese goal scorer’s presence has clearly been missed at the Bernabéu this season.

Real Madrid are currently 6th in La Liga, they have won six, drawn two and lost four this season in the league.

Granted, Madrid’s form has now picked up since Santiago Solari replaced the struggling Julen Lopetegui as manager.

But it is still clear Madrid miss Ronaldo.

This is evident by the fact their top scorer in the league is Karim Benzema with just five goals.

Compare this to Barcelona who have both Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez on nine league goals and it’s clear Madrid need to reinforce their attack.

Madrid line-up bids for Rashford and Eriksen

According to the Mail, the two players Madrid are looking to do so with is Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen.

Madrid are reportedly willing to pay around £50m for Rashford’s services.

Rashford has not had the best start to the season at United but his recent England displays do show he has potential to be world class.

However, Madrid may also face competition for Rashford from Juventus.

As for Eriksen, Madrid are reportedly lining up a bid worth around £40m for Eriksen.

Eriksen has been one of the best playmakers in the Premier League for some time now scoring 57 and assisting 73 in 239 games for Spurs.
