Monaco spending spree
AS Monaco have been one of the best teams in Europe this season. They’ve also been one of the most exciting and this is largely down to a nucleus of young talent. Naturally, the magnificent displays of their stars have attracted the attention of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Real Madrid.
Los Blancos are ready to spend big on Monaco players.
Marca are reporting that they’ve identified Bernardo Silva and Kylian Mbappe as two priority targets for the summer transfer window. The first window since their transfer ban ended, fans can expect Madrid to make a statement with the quality of their signings. The two Monaco players, who caught the eye in midweek, would be excellent additions.
Only 18-years-old, Mbappe scored in that epic 5-3 Champions League defeat to Manchester City while Silva dazzled with his quick feet and incisive passing. There will be plenty of competition for their signatures.
Frustrated with Dortmund success
The Spanish outlet, often labelled a mouthpiece for Real, also claims that Madrid were frustrated to have missed out on Ousmane Dembele and Alexander Isak, both signed by Borussia Dortmund. They’ve already spent big money on Monaco players in the past with the transfer of James Rodriguez costing them €80 million.
