Real Madrid give injury update on Toni Kroos after Granada

Real Madrid 4 – Granada 2

Real Madrid played host to Granada on Saturday.

While Zinedine Zidane’s side have not been in great form in the Champions League this season, losing one and drawing one, their league form has been solid.

That positive league form continued on Saturday vs Granada, with Los Blancos coming away with a 4-2 victory thanks to goals from Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard, Luka Modric and James Rodriguez.

His goal vs Granada was also Hazard’s first for Real Madrid.

As of writing, Real Madrid are top of La Liga with 18 points from eight games. Atletico Madrid are in second spot with 15 points.

However, despite topping the table, Real Madrid did suffer an injury blow vs Granada.

Toni Kroos would be forced off 36 minutes into Saturday’s 4-2 victory.

Now, on Sunday, Real Madrid have provided an update on Kroos:

After tests carried out today on the player Toni Kroos by the Real Madrid medical services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the adductor in his left foot. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Real Madrid’s next game is against RCD Mallorca on October 19th, after the international break.
