Need those goals
Real Madrid fans thought that once Cristiano Ronaldo was back in the side, their issues in La Liga would be over.
The club had drawn their last couple of home games and needed to get a win over Real Betis to keep the pressure on Barcelona, who won the night before courtesy of a Lionel Messi masterclass.
Given Ronaldo has his own issues with Messi and a personal rivalry he will want to re-ignite now his suspension is over in terms of their goalscoring records in the league, it was surprising he failed to score in the first half.
Former Real Madrid man Adan was brilliant in goal for Betis, and kept them at bay, while Keylor Navas did a fair bit of work himself.
Going into half time, Madrid fans were worried they wouldn’t get their goals, and while they hoped for better in the second half, the worry was clear to see.

Real Madrid whistling Adan, which is ironic, with him being the guy who Mourinho dropped Casillas in favour of – a man they also whistled.
