Real Madrid ‘divers’ slated online vs Juventus

A number of Real Madrid’s stars have been torn into online this evening, during Los Blancos’ Champions League quarter-final first-leg clash with Juventus.

Last season’s Champions League finalists are currently locked in action in Turin, with hosts Juve having come into proceedings on the back of a crucial 3-1 victory over AC Milan in Serie A at the weekend.

Real, meanwhile, rested several stars for their La Liga meeting with Las Palmas on Saturday, though Zinedine Zidane’s men nevertheless emerged with a comfortable 3-0 win.

Juventus grew into proceedings as the half wore on, with Gonzalo Higuain and Giorgio Chiellini both having had huge chances to level things up.

Aside from some of the fantastic football on show in Turin, another key talking point over the course of the opening 45 surrounded the tendency of some of Real’s stars to go ground under minimal contact.
