Rangers fans single two players out for special praise after remarkable European turnaround

The Glaswegians have taken a major step towards Champions League qualification

Supporters of Scottish giants Rangers have taken to social media on Tuesday evening, to single two members of the club’s first-team ranks out for widespread adulation.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s troops were back in action a short time ago.

Amid ongoing efforts to book a spot in the group stages of this season’s Champions League, the Gers welcomed Royale Union Saint-Gilloise to Ibrox.

The evening’s hosts headed into proceedings aware that a remarkable turnaround was needed, after slipping to a 2-0 first-leg defeat in Brussels this day last week.

And, when all was said and done, turn things around in the most spectacular of fashion is precisely what Rangers managed.

A dominant showing ultimately culminated in Van Bronckhorst and co. emerging on the right side of a 3-0 scoreline, owing to goals on the part of James Tavernier, Antonio Colak, and Malik Tillman.

A playoff showdown with Dutch heavyweights PSV Eindhoven, in turn, lays in store.

On the back of the action coming to a close in Glasgow this evening, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of a whole host of Rangers’ stars being lavished in praise.

None, though, have been more widely hailed than the pairing of Tom Lawrence and Malik Tillman.

The two summer arrivals at Ibrox have been singled out as the key to their side’s eventual triumph over Union Saint-Gilloise, with just some of the post-match reaction from across social media showcased below:
