Ralf Rangnick casts doubt over two Man United players’ involvement vs Norwich; provides Paul Pogba update

Norwich vs Manchester United

Saturday’s late Premier League kick-off will see Manchester United take on Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Norwich head into the game still bottom of the Premier League table despite a slight upturn in form since Dean Smith arrived.

The Canaries only have 10 points to their name and remain in possession of the worst defensive record in the Premier League.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are currently on the up, having won their last two league matches – looking much more impressive under Ralf Rangnick with a full-strength side vs Crystal Palace last week.

As a result, a Red Devils win does seem quite likely this weekend. For more information on the game, check out the link below:

Ralf Rangnick on Manchester United team news & Paul Pogba

Ahead of the tie, Ralf Rangnick would hold his pre-Norwich press conference on Friday afternoon.

When doing so, the German discussed a number of topics, including team news, with United sweating over the fitness of two players for the clash, in the form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Nemanja Matic:

“We have two or three question marks behind players but they haven’t shown up yet. Aaron received one or two knocks in the game. There’s still a question mark behind Matic, who had sort of a cold. I wouldn’t call it a flu, he had a negative test for COVID.”

Rangnick would also provide an update on the fitness of Paul Pogba, who is yet to meet his new boss in person:

“We spoke over the phone two days ago or on Tuesday. He was still in Dubai, he’s expected to come back today and we will get to know each other in person on Sunday. We had a telephone call for around 10 or 15 minutes and he told me he was getting better. Obviously, he still isn’t fully fit and from what I’ve heard it will take another couple of weeks until he’s fit for training again. He has been out for quite some time so it will take another couple of weeks to get him match fit.”
