Is Lukaku good enough for Man United?
Ex-Chelsea player Craig Burley has claimed that Romelu Lukaku will be outed by the next Manchester United manager if Jose Mourinho leaves.
The Belgian striker has struggled over the past few weeks and has 4 goals in 11 appearances this season.
He has been criticised on social media and needs to regain his confidence and form soon.
Though, after comments today, his confidence may take another hit.
“If Lukaku is not cutting it then Mourinho will have to get him out of the team”
That is because an ex-Chelsea star has hit out at Lukaku.
That former player comes in the form of Craig Burley who has claimed that the next Man United manager will out the forward.
“He’s one of a number of United players that, once Mourinho goes, will have to be outed by the new regime,” Burley explained to ESPN.
“Whether that be a sporting director or a new manager.
“He’s a good player but, watching him lately, he’s not making the right runs.
“I wouldn’t call him a clever striker – he’s big and powerful and gets his ratio of goals. But it’s against the weaker teams.
“If he’s not playing well and not making the runs, Marcus Rashford is a natural striker.
“Yes he’s young but he’s an international, he’s got experience, he’s quick, he’s clever, he’s not frightened to try anything.
“If Lukaku is not cutting it then Mourinho will have to get him out of the team.”
