UEFA take action against Neymar
Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has been charged by UEFA after he took aim at the officials following the controversial clash with Manchester United.
Neymar was not part of the squad as Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s Man United travelled to the Parc des Princes in hope of completing a stunning comeback.
Though, he watched on from the stands as PSG were embarrassingly knocked out.
Two goals from Romelu Lukaku brought Man United back into the game before a controversial penalty was gifted to the Red Devils.
Presnel Kimpembe was adjudged to have handballed in the area after a VAR review, while some thought it was a very soft penalty.
Marcus Rashford would then score the 92nd-minute spot kick, sending PSG out.
Neymar was not too happy and as well as having to be restrained when confronting the officials, the Brazilian went off on a foul-mouthed rant on social media.
“This is a disgrace, they put four people that know nothing about football in charge of looking at the replay for VAR,” he explained on Instagram.
“There is no penalty. How can it be a handball when it hits his back! Go **** yourselves!”
That has landed him in hot water with UEFA.
Could Neymar be set for further punishment?
That is because it was confirmed today that Neymar has been charged by UEFA.
UEFA’s punishment will come under “insulting/molesting acts against match officials” following his social media comments.

The worrying part for PSG fans is Neymar could find himself slapped with a ban.
With UEFA having opened disciplinary proceedings against Neymar, he could receive some form of a ban after a Control, Ethics & Disciplinary Body hearing.
