Fresh problems for Mohamed Salah at the World Cup

Egypt are out of the 2018 World Cup

It only took two matches for Egypt to crash out of the 2018 World Cup.

Egypt started on the backfoot as Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was unable to play in their opener against Uruguay.

Despite a steady performance for much fo the match, Egypt let in a late goal against the South Americans from a corner.

Egypt were dumped out the competition following a 3-1 defeat against Russia.

Salah played against the World Cup hosts and he scored from the spot late on.

Mohamed Salah vs Egypt

Since exiting the World Cup rumours have sprung up of squabbling and infighting.

Specifically, the rumours are that Mohamed Salahis upset with the Egyptian FA for what’s happened in Russia.

The rumours are that Liverpool’s star has complained about certain businessmen, celebrities and artists who have been allowed access to the team.

Salah is also said to be unhappy with mismanagement.

On Wednesday night the Liverpool star turned to social media to try to squash those rumours. He wrote:

Everyone in Egypt is together and there is absolutely no disagreement between us. We respect each other and the relationship is great.

Nevertheless, the Salah rumours persist.

Indeed there are suggestions Salah will miss Egypt’s final World Cup match against Saudi Arabia, which is a dead-rubber.
