‘Premier League clubs are tracking Slavia Prague’s Abdallah Sima’ – Insight ahead of Arsenal’s Europa clash

‘Premier League clubs are tracking Slavia Prague’s Abdallah Sima’ – Insight ahead of Arsenal’s Europa clash

EPL for Sima?

One of the most highly regarded players pin the Czech league is Slavia Prague’s 19-year-old Abdallah Sima. The Senegal winger has scored 11 goals and recorded 5 assists in 18 matches in the Czech league plus another 4 goals and an assist in the Europa League.

Czech Republic football writer Martin Vait spoke of the quality of the winger and how the wild prices being touted around are justified.

“Abdullah Sima has been one of the revelations in Europe this season,” said Martin Vait.

“He’s come from nowhere. He was just a youngster in the 3rd division and Slavia scouted him and at one match and then he went into the team and he’s just been scoring goals since.

“Give him an inch of space and he will put it in the net. His finishing is perfect, and he has warranted a huge price tag on his name already this season.”

Vait also said that English sides are also looking into the Senegalese from what he has been told.

“A lot of the Premier League sides, from what I’ve heard, are looking at him.”

Ironically, Arsenal are one of the clubs linked with a move along with West Ham.

Arteta hints at Slavia transfer

Perhaps most interesting from Mikel Arteta’s press conference came from him speaking about the Czech side. The Spaniard referenced the fact that the market is now taking extra steps to follow the club and the players they produce and develop.

“I would like to highlight the collective performance they put in. Obviously, they have some really good individuals, they have had some really good players that they’ve sold in recent years,” said Arteta.

“The market is looking at them because they’ve been a really good side. We know that they have some really interesting players there.”

Arsenal have a number of players who can play in wider areas such as Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pepe, Willian, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith-Rowe. A move for another young wide man would surely see a number of current options need to depart.
