Poland confirm Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has tested positive for Covid-19
Poland, and in turn potentially Leeds United, have been dealt a blow on the personnel front on Wednesday.
Poland in action
Poland are set to get their international break underway on Thursday evening, playing out the first of three World Cup qualifiers.
Paulo Sousa’s men have a number of tough tests coming up, the first of which will see them face off with Hungary tomorrow night.
Biało-czerwoni then play host to Andorra on Sunday, before rounding out their break at Wembley vs England on Wednesday the 31st of March.
Leeds’ Mateusz Klich has Covid-19
Ahead of their meeting with Hungary, though, Poland have been dealt a blow on the personnel front.
With players travelling from all over the world to link up with their respective countries, there are bound to be some who end up catching Covid-19, or bring it to their national team camps.
And, on Wednesday, Poland have confirmed that Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has returned a positive Covid-19 test.
It is added that Klich is well, and showing no signs of symptoms. However, he is now set to miss the trip to Budapest for the aforementioned clash with Hungary.

And whilst not yet confirmed, it feels safe to assume that Klich is also set to miss out on Poland’s clash with England in a week’s time.
Leeds United will be hoping that the midfielder is ready to return to action for their next clash, against Sheffield United on the 3rd of April.
