Huddersfield 0 – Tottenham 4
It was another glorious away game for Harry Kane and his Tottenham colleagues as they made it three wins from three this week.
After beating West Ham and APOEL away from home, Spurs were not expected to have too many problems at Huddersfield.
And, so it proved to be as Mauricio Pochettino’s side ran riot.
Harry Kane bagged the opener on 9 minutes. Ben Davies made it 2-0 a further seven minutes later.
Harry Kane claimed his seventh goal in a week on 23 minutes. And, that was the end of the scoring until substitute Moussa Sissoko made it 4-0 in second half injury time.
Tottenham’s one sour note: Dele Alli
Dele Alli has taken time to get into this news season and has not shown the form we have come to expect over the last few seasons.
Dele Alli missed the two Champions League wins over Borussia Dortmund and APOEL due to suspension.
Perhaps Dele missing these victories has affected his Premier League form?
The England attacker scored twice in August for Spurs but has failed to score in the Premier League since then.
Dele Alli booked for diving at Huddersfield
On 58 minutes at Huddersfield, Dele Alli was booked for diving.
After the match, Mauricio Pochettino was pretty harsh in his assessment of Dele’s performance.
Pochettino: “I did not see. It is so difficult for me from my position. But if it was like this he needs to learn. He must learn. This type of action does not help him, does not help the team and does not help the football.”
The Tottenham boss added: “We are talking in the last few years about fair play, about being honest. I think he is improving a lot and learning but still he must learn.”
Despite the Spurs win, Dele Alli has not updated his social media since victory at Huddersfield.
