Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed a potentially huge Harry Kane boost ahead of the game against Chelsea this weekend.
The English forward has been out since sustaining an injury against Bournemouth and was expected to be out for a decent period.
Though, thankfully for the Londoners, the player has excelled in his recovery and is well ahead of schedule.
Not only that, Pochettino confirmed that there is a chance that he could play against Chelsea in the London derby this weekend.
That would be huge for the side who had expected to be without their talisman for much longer.
Though, the Spurs boss was keen to stress that it is far from certain that he will be ready in time.
‘We need to assess him, he is very positive and he is doing very well,’ Pochettino explained in his press conference today.
‘Every day he is improving. We need to assess in the next few days. It’s difficult now to say yes or no.
‘I cannot say no, but I cannot say yes. Maybe next weekend.
‘But the most important is that we are so positive about his recovery, and we are doing fantastic, and we are so happy.
‘After Bournemouth, everybody believed it would be a long period out, but the resolution has been fantastic.
It’s safe to say that Pochettino is certainly looking forward to this weeks game having emphasised just how big of a clash it is.
‘I think it’s always massive game because it’s a London derby, and always between Chelsea and Tottenham is there, and it will be a massive game for both teams.
Harry Kane has hit 20+ goals for 4 seasons in a row and was only deemed world class last season
This is only Mo Salahs first season hitting 20+ goals and not only is he being labeled world class hes also being compared with some of the best players itw
