Italy & Argentina come out on top
The major international tournaments of the summer drew to a close last weekend.
Both the Euro 2020 final and Copa America final were held on July 11th.
The European Championships saw Italy and England face off in a clash at Wembley.
Italy came out on top in that tie after the Azzurri were able to beat the Three Lions on penalties.
Argentina, meanwhile, picked up their first Copa America title since all the way back in 1993.
They beat hosts Brazil 1-0 in the competition’s showpiece thanks to a 22nd-minute strike from Angel Di Maria.
It would be Lionel Messi who was the star of the tournament, though, with the Barcelona man picking up the most goals, most assists and Player of the Tournament prizes.
