Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Anthony Martial reportedly on Inter Milan’s shortlist

Inter to lose Martinez?

Lautaro Martinez is one of the hottest young prospects currently plying their trade in Serie A.

The now 22-year-old joined Inter Milan in the summer of 2018.

Martinez has since gone on to make 65 appearances across all competitions for Inter. In those games, he has scored 25 and assisted five.

The Argentina international is having an especially fruitful 2019/20 campaign, netting 16 and assisting four in 30 outings across all competitions.

And in the wake of his good form, Martinez has been linked with a move away from the San Siro.

European heavyweights Chelsea and Barcelona have been linked with Martinez, with it previously reported that the Inter Milan star would prefer a move to the Camp Nou in order to play alongside international teammate Lionel Messi.

Now, this weekend, the Mirror, citing Italian outlet Tuttosport, are reporting that Martinez is being tipped for a €150m move to Barca in the summer, as the La Liga powerhouse eye a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez.

Inter eyeing Aubameyang & Martial?

That same report from the Mirror also provided an insight into some players Inter are said to be targeting to replace Martinez.

Two of those players are Premier League stars. Manchester United’s Anthony Martial is understood to be on the Serie A side’s shortlist, as is Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

And whilst neither PL side will likely be keen to lose a key attacker, the lure of Champions League football could prove a decisive factor if Inter do indeed try to pursue one of the two above-mentioned stars.

Inter are currently 3rd in the Italian top-flight, well clear of 5th placed Roma.

Meanwhile, both Man United and Arsenal are outside of the Premier League top-four.
