Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Aaron Ramsey are out: Arsenal’s likely XI vs Qarabag

Qarabag vs Arsenal

Arsenal are in action on Thursday in Azerbaijan.

The Gunners have travelled to Baku to take on local powerhouse Qarabag in the Europa League.

Arsenal started their Europa League adventure with a 4-2 home win over Vorskla on matchday one.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice against Vorskla. Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil also found the back of the net in that match.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Aaron Ramsey

Sadly for Gunners fans, they won’t see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in action against Qarabag.

Unai Emery has confirmed that the Gabonese striker has been left in London.

Aubameyang is sick, so he’s been given time to recover.

Will Aubameyang be available for Arsenal’s Premier League match at Fulham on Sunday? We’ll have to wait and see.

Aaron Ramsey has also been left in London this midweek.

The Welsh international has been allowed to skip the Qarabag game as his wife is pregnant.

Arsenal’s likely XI vs Qarabag

Another player who’ll be missing against Qarabag is Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mkhitaryan isn’t injured, however he’s not travelled with the Gunners squad to Azerbaijan for political reasons.

Also missing is Petr Cech. The goalie is now sidelined for around a month after he suffered a hamstring injury against Watford last weekend.

With all those issues, Emery is set to rotate his Arsenal squad against Qarabag.

Sead Kolasinac is tipped to start at left-back, while Mohamed Elneny should get a run out in the middle of the park.

The Gunners could line-up as follows in the Europa League.
